New Romantic

新浪漫除了象David Bowie 和Roxy Music 那樣以視覺線索吸引人，還有他們的旋律。從Low-era Bowie 到 latter-day Roxy Music，新浪漫創作了一種圓滑的，合成的，適合於跳舞的流行音樂，這種音樂很時髦然而卻十分短暫。與其它任何後朋流派相比，新浪漫更華麗並依賴於時尚。Duran Duran 是新浪漫裏最後一支樂隊，也是唯一一支成為巨星的樂隊。 新浪漫音樂逐漸消失於1984年，但在90年代中期由Melody Maker-sponsored領導的 non-movement Romo.曾有過一段短暫的復興。

新浪漫是新浪潮發展而來的,應該説和70年代的華麗搖滾一樣,只是一段時間順應潮流發展而來,不久就消逝的一個風格.為什麼這麼快消逝,因為他們就是為浪漫的80年代而生的,他的特點就必須要依賴於時髦,但是時髦總會過時的.這裏面有70年代就成立的華麗搖滾樂隊到80年代變為新浪漫的David Bowie(其實鮑伊搞什麼都不奇怪),Roxy Music(必須聽的樂隊呀)以及The Sparks.有華麗搖滾的分支glitter風格的Adam and the Ants和Bow Wow Wow.還有一大把合成器流行樂隊以及Dead or Alive之類的高能迪斯科樂隊,甚至早起的Depeche mode...樂隊太多了,這些樂隊都身着反性的華麗裝束,濃妝豔抹.成就了最浪漫的80年代,從這張專輯你可以瞭解新浪漫的一切,這麼多來路的樂隊,我個人認為新浪漫絕不只是視覺上這麼簡單
