《Save Rock And Roll》專輯由參與過Taylor Swift專輯《Red》、Avril Lavigne專輯《Goodbye Lullaby》的製作人Butch Walker擔綱製作，專輯體現樂團擅長鼓動樂迷跟唱氣氛的副歌段落，流露戲謔神采的雙關語歌詞，滿載着情感的吉他搖滾，營造動人歌曲氣勢的唱作功力。自2008年專輯《Folie à Deux》之後，關於榮獲3座MTV音樂獎、入圍格萊美獎，連創3張全美流行專輯榜TOP 10專輯（《From Under The Cork Tree》、《Infinity Oh High》、《Folie à Deux》）與3首全美熱門單曲榜TOP 10暢銷曲（<Sugar, We're Goin Down>、<Dance, Dance>、<Thnks Fr Th Mmrs>）的芝加哥流行龐克搖滾樂團Fall Out Boy的解散傳言就甚囂塵上，伴隨着2013年度大碟《Save Rock And Roll》的發行，樂團發表聲明嚴正駁斥：“這不是樂團重組，因為，我們從來就沒有解散過。我們要將樂器重新插電，做我們覺得至關重要的音樂，Fall Out Boy的未來正式啓動。《Save Rock And Roll》是樂團的重大使命，因為，到最後是搖滾樂拯救了我們。” ^[1]
