兩張專輯過千萬的銷量，Eminem已經在創造歷史。在2002年，他的第三張專輯《The EminemShow》再次成為了歷史上的“第一次”，只是這個“第一次”未免有些無奈——説唱歷史上第一張因為盜版泄露嚴重不得不提前在非常規時間發片的專輯，5月28日是星期二，並不是常規發片的日子，星期天。

可以説《The Eminem Show》是Eminem職業生涯迄今為止最憤怒的一張專輯。一開篇他就用精妙的歌詞來評述對美國的複雜感情，最後還要加上一句“別當真，我愛你美國”，這首“White America”雖然不能説超越了之前他的作品，但也證明了他依然擁有才華。後面的“Square Dance”則更激進，Eminem在歌裏挖苦了小布什政府上任後的諸多愚蠢措施，在今天聽起來實在是很有預見性，結尾還順帶損了一下和他有夙怨的Canibus。

儘管已經成為商業大明星，Eminem依然願意保留着自己的源根。“Say Goodbye To Hollywood”表達着對高度商業化娛樂圈的不屑，“Soldier”和“Till I Collapse”更像是對街頭的誓言，Eminem的根依然在貧民區。另外“Without Me”中他也攻擊了一些他心目中的“爛藝人”比如男孩團體N'Sync的成員Chris Kirkpatrick、電子藝人Moby、説唱金屬樂團Limp Bizkit等，只是這些攻擊更傾向於襯托Eminem對自己的自誇。

此外Eminem還在專輯中談到了很多成為明星之後的心境變化，比如單曲“Cleanin Out The Closet”就是這一話題的代表。這首歌也是整張專輯中最誠懇的一首，Eminem提到了成名之後受到的嫉恨和針對，提到了自己不幸的童年生活，語調也不再張揚。作為Eminem生命中最重要的人，他的女兒Hallie也在專輯中再次成為重要的組成部分，一首大部分時間都在唱的“Hallie's Song”體現了Eminem對女兒的愛。另一首則是借Hallie與Eminem對話方式進行的“My Dad's Gone Crazy”。
