流行朋克樂團MXPX，發跡於1992年華盛頓特區的Bremerton，由主唱/貝斯手Mike Herrera、鼓手Yuri Ruley、及吉他手Andy。最初團名為Magnified Plaid，造成改變的原因是Yuri在宣傳海報上書寫團名縮寫M.P.時，他的句點看來像x，那時起，這四個字母就這樣誤打誤撞的成了團名。
