Mr. Brownstone是樂隊給毒品起的外號。

曾經的一段時間，Slash、 Izzy 和Steven都瘋狂的吸毒，然後Axl很不高興，在一次演唱會上拒絕上台，他説“這是我們的最後一次演出，因為我們這個團體裏有太多人和Mr. Brownstone跳舞了。”最後他要求Slash在舞台上為他們吸毒的事向所有歌迷道歉（亂了，貌似那時候Izzy已經戒了），然後他才上台演唱。那時Slash就在台上説了一些無關緊要的屁話（Slash自己這麼形容的），才算了事兒。
