Motion City Soundtrack是由Joshua Cain (guitar)、Tony Thaxton (drums)、 Justin Pierre (vocals/guitar)、Jesse Johnson (moog) 和Matthew Taylor (bass)五個小夥子組成的樂隊。

Motion City Soundtrack樂隊簡介
樂隊靈魂Cain和Pierre是高中同學，很小就受Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbox, the Flaming Lips的影響，99年兩人成立了Motion City Soundtrack，併發了個小樣“7”，那時Taylor, Thaxton, 和Johnson還未加入。隨後，隨着成員們的陸續加入，2003年在製作人Ed Rose的幫助下，他們發行了PUNK處女碟《I Am the Movie》，專輯毫無矯情，受到樂評及歌迷的好評，被人稱作glazed-punk(光滑punk？)。2005年他們發行了第二張專輯《Commit This to Memory》，而《Commit This to Memory Deluxe Edition》則是加入了bonus DVD和一首未發行的單曲Invisible Monsters在內，並重新在2006年發行。
總體來説，這支樂隊風格清新，同眾多主流POP-punk差不多，旋律編曲方面比較重視，主唱Justin Pierre嗓音不錯，打入個排行榜沒有什麼問題，關鍵是大家怎麼看他們了。
2013年3月20日，鼓手Tony Thaxton宣告退出樂隊。
