由TIMEFLIES樂隊製作的讓歐美樂壇抱着高度期待已久的首張錄音室專輯《After Hours》於2014年4月29日在iTunes上發佈。在這之前，繼他們上一首先行單曲《All The Way》獲得巨大成功後，成員雷茲Rez和卡爾Cal兩人已準備好第三張正式單曲《Monsters》的發佈。這首歌曲是由Timeflies樂隊與唱作歌手Katie Sky合作的一首歌曲，於2014年4月15日發佈。

該歌曲除了在4月15日之後itunes音樂板塊上可供下載之外，其音樂錄影帶也在同一天於JustJared與Vevo上發佈。把Katie與Cal的歌聲結合在一起的這首《Monsters》又是一首動人的歌曲。另外本歌曲還與由Eminem與Rihanna合作的歌曲《The Monster》與《Love The Way You Lie》製作成一首混音作品受到三位歌手歌迷的喜愛。

歌曲內容主要講述了一個內心有着不可告人的故事的男生，在自己喜歡的人面前不敢展現自己的柔弱和缺點，不願意把自己的煩惱傾訴於她，而使兩人關係走向緊張，最終女生用自己的善良與包容去融化男生的冰冷的心、舒緩他的焦慮與不安，兩人最終能互相理解與溝通的故事。MV中的那一點亮光正是對男生心魔的比喻，女主唱Katie對着那一點亮光用動人的歌聲去傾訴，去表現自己能夠理解以男主唱Cal為代表的男生的內心。最終，Cal把這點亮光扔向鏡頭，比喻在Katie的幫助下自己能把內心的不快丟棄，並從困境中走出。

TIMEFLIES樂隊成立於2010年10月，是由製作人Rob Resnick和主唱Cal Shapiro組成的美國流行電子音樂組合。主唱卡爾和製作人雷茲分別來自紐約和新澤西，在波士頓建立TIMEFLIES樂隊。TIMEFLIES樂隊的音樂風格主要包含流行音樂、電子音樂和搖滾音樂。

一開始只致力於在音樂網站發表作品的他們，在發佈了幾張單曲之後，TIMEFLIES樂隊在2011年9月19日發表他們的首張專輯《The Scotch Tape》 ^[3]  ，在itunes音樂上的下載量排行榜中迅速飆升至第2位，知名度開始大增。同時他們也開辦了一個叫Timeflies Tuesday的系列活動，這個活動意在通過發表混音作品、現場表演和伴隨原創節奏的即興説唱與歌迷互動。在發表了一個混音專輯和兩個EP之後，他們一直非常努力地製作於2014年4月29日發表的新專輯《After Hours》 ^[4]  ，這張專輯也為他們的知名度和音樂成就推向了一個新的高峯。
