Mick Guzauski

Guzauski在紐約州羅切斯特市長大，當時那裏還沒有商業錄音室。高中時，Guzauski在父母的地下室構建了自己的錄音室，裏面的設備都是他借來的，並且由他親自進行搭建、修理及改造。他與Steve Gadd及Tony Levin一起從事拾音師的工作，然後又與伊斯曼音樂學院的學生一起工作，還和不久後便走紅的Foreigner樂隊成員Lou Gramm有過合作。

那時，Guzauski遇到了當時已在羅切斯特市嶄露頭角的作曲家Chuck Mangione，然後幫助Mangione製作了唱片並負責現場音效的混音。Mangione於1975年和A&M唱片公司簽約，他邀請Guzauski到洛杉磯幫助他製作了新專輯，該唱片動用了一支管絃樂隊、一個節奏樂器組和獨唱演員，並在A&M的錄音室進行了錄製。Guzauski後來又為Mangione製作了若干張專輯。

在80年代初期，Guzauski與Maurice White及Earth, Wind and Fire一起在Complex（即後來的George Massenburg Studios）工作。在80年代中期，Conway Studios成了他的大本營，在那裏他曾為Burt Bacharach, Dionne Warwick, Mister Mister, Madonna, Talking Heads, Johnny Mathis, Henry Mancini, Patti LaBelle, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Quincy Jones, Michael Bolton, Kenny G以及Cher製作專輯或進行混音。

1991年，Walter Afanasieff邀請Guzauski為Michael Bolton的專輯進行混音，Guzauski後來一直和兩人有所合作。1993年，Afanasieff僱用Guzauski為Mariah Carey（瑪麗亞凱莉）的專輯進行混音。Tommy Mottola（後來成了Sony音樂公司總裁）很欣賞Guzauski的混音作品，邀請Guzauski移居紐約為其Sony Studios工作，Guzauski答應了Mottola的邀請。其間Guzauski還為Mariah Carey的個人錄音室工作，以製作女性歌曲為主。此外，他還為David Foster, Babyface, Boyz to Men,以及All-4-One的歌曲進行了混音。

Guzauski目前在自己130平方米的私人工作室Barking Doctor Recording中進行工作，該工作室位於Guzauski家的地下室裏，在紐約州的Mt. Kisco山上，離紐約市約有一個小時的車程。Guzauski的工作室由兩間控制室和一間小的tracking/overdub室組成。A室配備了一台Sony OXF-R3 Oxford mixing console，B室則配有Yamaha DM-2000 console。在Barking Doctor裏，Guzauski為Brian McKnight, Michael Jackson, Leann Rimes, Eric Clapton, The Corrs, BB King, Brandy, Marc Anthony, J Lo, Monica Naranjo, Michael McDonald, and Mariah Carey, Clapton, Lara Fabian, Jessica Simpson, Zucchero, Leehom Wang(王力宏),以及 Michael Bolton的歌曲進行了混音。
