Chrisette Michele，全名Chrisette Michele Payne ，出生於1982年12月8日，Central Islip, 紐約。

Chrisette Michele 是 Def Jam 旗下一位專業的美國R&B歌手，同時也是 The Island Def Jam Music Group唱片公司的一名歌曲創作者。她其實早在很多膾炙人口的hiphop專輯裏

嶄露頭角，比如Jay-Z的Kingdom Come專輯第二主打單曲"Lost One"，在Nas的Hip Hop Is Dead專輯裏三次獻聲，以及她的第二主打單曲"Can't Forget About You"，Kanye的West-produced 專輯裏的"Still Dreaming"和壓軸曲目"Hope".她的單曲"Your Joy"曾放到iTunes上作為當週打榜單曲。

2009年憑藉歌曲"Be OK"她獲得Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance。 ^[1] 

Nas的媽媽 和Michele的媽媽都是在Queensbridge居民區長大，從小耳濡目染的一些事所產生的這些潛移默化的影響和童年的記憶都給了她創作的靈感，這些都在她的即將發行的首張專輯中體現的淋漓盡致。Michele在高中和大學時期都是擔任教會合唱團的領唱。她創作的歌曲都有很濃的基督教義的味道，24歲的她精心打造的融合了多元化曲風的。
