MASP1作用功能
該基因編碼一種絲氨酸蛋白酶，作為補體激活的凝集素途徑的一個組成部分。補體通路在天然免疫和適應性免疫反應中起着至關重要的作用。編碼蛋白以酶原的形式合成，並與凝集素途徑的病原體識別分子、甘露糖結合凝集素和無花果苷結合時被激活。該蛋白不直接參與補體的激活，但可能通過切割補體C2或激活另一種補體絲氨酸蛋白酶MASP-2作為補體激活的放大因子。編碼的蛋白也能切割纖維蛋白原和因子XIII，可能參與凝血。該基因的剪接變異體缺乏絲氨酸蛋白酶結構域，可作為補體通路的抑制劑。多個轉錄體的替代剪接結果。[由RefSeq，2010年4月提供]
