Love the Way You Lie (Part II)

斯蓋拉·格蕾在2009年晚期創作並錄製了《Love the Way You Lie （Part II）》的樣本。埃米納姆對《Love the Way You Lie》的商業成績感到心滿意足後，心中起了一個念頭：他想按照女性思考角度，為該曲創作一首後續作品。可當他首次將這想法分享給蕾哈娜時，卻遭到了後者的反對，因為後者擔心無法超越前作。但是當蕾哈娜和埃米納姆在錄音室裏聆聽了只有鋼琴彈奏、由斯蓋拉·格蕾演繹的演示版本後，她的堅持便化為烏有，她在斯蓋拉·格蕾的俞允下為該歌曲格外錄製了鼓，並將其收錄在《Loud》中 ^[2-6]  。

比擬前身，《Love the Way You Lie （Part II）》依然講述的是一段岌岌可危的紊亂情感，是前作主題的延續。但是該曲濃墨重彩的是女性的感情態度，而對於男性的魯莽及言不由衷卻輕描淡寫。埃米納姆的發揮撕心裂肺、情感豐沛 ^[9-13]  。在音樂結構上，《Love the Way You Lie （Part II）》以G小調為關鍵，內部被設有約每分鐘89次的節拍樂器。作為錄唱歌手，蕾哈娜的音域從F₃橫跨至D₅ ^[14]  。
