Love Comes Quietly

My recommendation of the month is Love Comes Quietly from the Faber Choral Signature Series. It's a mixed-voice setting by Alexander L'Estrange of a beautiful love poem by Robert Creeley. It's not difficult and is so pleasingly paced, with a poignant, convivial homophony, that you could spend many happy hours on it and leave students to perform it unconducted. This simple setting of Robert Creely's beautiful love poem Love Comes Quietly was commissioned by Lucy and Mike Piercy for their wedding and was first performed at The New Beacon Chapel, Sevenoaks, Kent in 2009. The Faber Choral Signature Series introduces a wealth of new or recently written choral music to choirs in search of fresh repertoire.
