《Lady Madonna》一歌由Paul McCartney創作（署名Lennon-McCartney），1968年3月15日作為單曲發行，單曲B面為《The Inner Light》。歌曲在The Beatles前往印度前的1968年2月3日和6日錄製完成。單曲是樂隊由Parlophone唱片在英國和Capitol唱片在美國發行的最後一支樂隊單曲，歌曲在這兩個國家分別達到第1和第4名。從隨後1968年8月的《Hey Jude》開始，樂隊作品都是由樂隊所有的Apple唱片發行，直到70年代末，Capitol和Parlophone才重新發行就作品。

Lady Madonna背景介紹
這首歌的靈感來自著名的藍調鋼琴演奏家 Fats Domino法茲多米諾。
在1994麥卡尼回憶説：“'lady madonna是我坐在鋼琴就想寫一個爵士布魯斯的事而創作的。
因為某些原因讓我想起了法茲多米諾，所以我開始唱法茲多米諾印象。它帶走了我的聲音，一個非常奇怪的地方。
後來Fats Domino翻唱了這首歌，進入了美國TOP100（確切的説就是#100）。
麥卡特尼説，約翰列儂為這首歌貢獻了部分歌詞。

Lady Madonna薩克斯伴奏
薩克斯管獨奏的角色由英國爵士音樂家和俱樂部老闆Ronnie Scott，但是單曲版本對薩克斯伴奏進行了大量的刪節，不過在後來的Anthology2和love混音集中，這段伴奏被很好的保存了下來。
在英國廣播公司BBC的紀錄片，時代瞭望Timewatch，麥卡尼解釋決定的背後説：當時，史葛沒有留下深刻的印象，他的音樂一直隱藏在其他樂器，所以麥卡尼決定最近把它重新混合。
Lady Madonna其他版本
披頭士解散後，保羅麥卡特尼是所有成員中現場演唱會最多的。幾乎每一場演唱會，他都會演唱一些披頭士時期的歌曲let it be、the long and winding road、yesterday、blackbird等。
Lady Madonna是他演唱會演唱頻率最高的歌曲之一，在2002年 Back in the U.S.，Back in the World和2009年的good night new york city都有演繹，雖然年事已高，聲音條件已經不如以前，但歌曲詮釋依然精彩。
Wings over America，Paul Is Live專輯中收錄的Live版本則是保羅全盛時期最佳狀態的演繹。

這首單曲沒有收錄在任何一張披頭士的錄音室大碟中，最初只是作為單曲發行的。
但後來基本上在每一張熱賣的精選集中都能找到它。
