Josh Rouse

Josh Rouse於1972年出生於美國內布拉斯加州(Nebraska)，之後在很多地方生活過，如加利福尼亞(California)、猶他(Utah)、懷俄明 (Wyoming)、內布拉斯加(Nebraska)、南達科他 ( South Dakota)、佐治亞(Georgia)和亞利桑那(Arizona)等。

Josh Rouse少年時代崇拜的偶像是the Smiths和the Cure，於是就跟叔叔學彈吉他，18歲時寫了第一首歌。1998年簽約Rykodisc subsidiary Slow River後發行了首張專輯《Dressed Up Like Nebraska》，贏得了評論界的廣泛稱讚。移居納什維爾(Nashville)後Josh Rouse結交了Kurt Wagner(傳奇鄉謠團Lambchop領軍人物)，於是在1999年秋天，兩人合作出了張EP《Chester》。Josh Rouse的個人第二張專輯《Home》緊隨其後於2000年春出爐，2002年發行了第三張專輯《Under the Cold Blue Stars》。之後，Josh Rouse找來了製作人Brad Jones打造他的下一張專輯 ，也就是2003年發行的專輯《1972》，這張專輯兼具Rouse早期輕搖滾演唱風格和他嗓音中開朗深邃的一面。這種滄桑的嗓音在“My love has gone”中也有體現。自此，他一掃了早期專輯中的陰霾，從孟菲斯靈歌(Memphis soul)、70年代的輕搖滾，60年代的巴洛克流行樂和流行舞曲中汲取養分。可惜，JoshRouse的婚姻在2004年走到了盡頭，於是他從納什維爾搬到了西班牙，2005年發行專輯“Nashville”，可以説，這張專輯是Josh歌唱生涯的頂峯。幾乎每首歌的伴奏只有吉他，簡單但卻百聽不厭。2007年與Paz Suay合作發表了EP《 She's Spanish, I'm American》。《Country Mouse, City House》在在萬眾矚目中於2007年7月發行了，並在11/12月歐洲巡演。
