Jeremy Webb joined Ogilvy’s Digital Influence team asDigital Influence Strategist in early 2010. Since taking up this position,Jeremy has provided social media strategic counsel, execution and training fora number of major clients including UPS, adidas and Pfizer.
Highly knowledgeable about the Chinese Internet,Jeremy’s blog posts at Asia Digital Map are widely read byindustry professionals and have been quoted by influential publications inChina.
Jeremy previously worked as Ogilvy PR China’s editor,responsible for the quality of English at Ogilvy PR offices in Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Jeremy translated newsarticles for the People’s Daily. Before that, he worked during the Beijing Olympics asa reporter for British newspaper The Independent.
Jeremy speaks, reads, and writes Chinese. His popularChinese-language blog, AngryEditor, has been made intoa monthly magazine column.
Jeremy holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Chinesefrom the University of Leeds. His undergraduate dissertation – “Democratisation2.0” – focused on the potential of social media to engender social andpolitical change in China.
