I Lived

《Native》處處充滿多樣融合與對比的創意：在銷售所得捐給關懷兒童權利組織「Save The Children」的單曲《Feel Again》中邀請危地馬拉的孩童參與合唱，細膩揉合了福音風格的旋律，流露着手打拍子般整齊劃一的和聲，書寫着關於救贖的歌詞，是一首震撼心絃的作品；在碰觸黑暗主題的歌曲《If I Lose Myself》中，樂團藉由宏偉的音樂氛圍來堆砌情感的動能，同時也選擇以耀眼奪目的舞曲節奏來掩護較為憂鬱的歌曲主題。專輯中多首滿載着快樂能量的歌曲也各具特色，像是創作靈感源自於披頭士名曲"Hey Jude"的"Something I Need"擁有激起樂迷齊聲高唱的副歌段落，至於"Life In Color"則是透過飛馳快感的鼓擊節拍與暖色調的合成器音色與Ryan Tedder寬廣的唱腔來醖釀情境。Ryan表示《Native》是一張非常摩登的專輯，是一張2013年的生活快照，專輯中的歌曲有關生死、愛、希望、絕望、信念、失敗，包含了所有的人類情感，試着在沒有説教色彩的情況下為歌詞增添一點份量，做出一種能夠與人們產生鏈接的音樂。

OneRepublic，中譯名“共和時代”，是美國的一個流行搖滾樂隊，曲風走流行、獨立搖滾的路線。2006年天使專輯《Dreaming Out Loud》誕生，主打《Apologize》打破各國流行榜紀錄。2009年新專輯《Waking Up》再次獲得樂評人及廣大樂迷肯定。2013全新專輯《Native》發佈。
