《I Don‘t Want to Talk About It》由Danny Whitten創作，在1971年發行於Danny Whitten所在的樂隊Crazy Horse的同名專輯《Crazy Horse》中。
在1975年，著名搖滾歌手Rod Stewart重新演繹了這首歌，並收錄於其專輯《Atlantic Crossing》中，發行之後便取得了巨大的成功，一舉成為1979年美國BillboardHot 100前50熱門金曲。
在1988年6月，夫妻檔樂隊Everything but the Girl發行了他們的翻唱版本，同樣也取得巨大成功，最高時曾佔據英國UK Singles Chart第三位。

Rod Stewart（洛史都華），全名Roderick David Stewart（洛德 戴維德 斯蒂沃特，又譯名）——1945年1月10日出生在英國倫敦的一户蘇格蘭人家庭。Rod Stewart曾經是世界上最出色的搖滾歌手之一，更有“搖滾鐵公雞”的美稱。同時也是最有才華的詞曲作者之一，是美國樂壇六十年代中期的英國入侵浪潮之後的標誌性人物之一。
