原本是俄亥俄州托萊多市人(Toledo, Ohio native)的Chrishan(本名Christopher Dotson)生長在一個充滿音樂的家庭。家庭成員裏包括"The Dotsons"全家合唱團，靈魂歌手，Lyfe Jennings等。

在10歲時，Chrishan舉家搬遷至明尼蘇達州。此時，在他的父親的幫助下，他開始追逐音樂夢想。他的父親，也非常熱愛音樂。他不僅培養Chrishan成為了R&B歌手，最終還給了他自己的工作室。
