Get The Party Started創作背景
《Get the Party Started》是琳達·佩裏創作的第一首主打歌曲和舞曲。琳達在學習編排鼓的時期獨立創作了這首歌，她認為她在創作時“不是她自己了”：她首先醖釀了第一個節拍，拿起了一把貝司，順着她預想的節奏繼續，還運用了她認為奇怪的樂器，於此完成了Demo。隨後她萌生了旋律靈感，並把她能想到的都寫下了，最終創作了該歌曲

《Get the Party Started》是P!nk放棄唱片公司所強加的R&B風格的挑戰之作，離開了一般的舞曲的模式，有女歌手Geri Halliwell和Apollo Smile等八九十年代的味道，把聽眾帶回了Deee Lite的《Groove Is in the Heart》所創造的美好氛圍。Sputnik音樂也是該歌曲的亮點之一

《Get the Party Started》的MV由戴夫·邁爾斯執導，於2001年9月底在洛杉磯拍攝。MV的內容與該歌曲的歌詞描述的基本一致，講述了P!nk和夥伴們去夜店狂歡的故事。MV中出現了一面升降機上的美國國旗，這是對“9·11事件”的致哀，還出現了凱文·費德林和Georvohn Lambert飾演的舞者
