他曾經是Bob Dylan，David Bowie，Hall&Oates和Saturday Night Live的首席樂手。

曾任1988年、艾美獎，1993年的節奏與藍調基金會獎（ the 1993 Rhythm and Blues Foundation Awards），搖滾名人堂博物館音樂會特別活動以及迪倫在麥迪遜廣場花園的30週年音樂會（Bob Dylan 30th anniversary concert ）的音樂總監。

在上世紀末開辦了綠鏡音樂公司（Green Mirror Music）
