Footprints In The Sand

Footprints in the Sand是由基督教詩歌Footprints改編而來的一首歌。最初是Cowell想出主意要基於這首詩來寫一首歌的，接着他又詢問作曲和製作人團隊David Kreuger和Per Magnusson是否能寫些東西來完成這首歌曲。他們在Richard Page馬布裏的家裏開了個關於歌曲創作的會議，並在第二天順利完成了這支單曲。在一次HitQuarters的採訪中，Magnusson説他們本來認為這首歌給Westlife,唱比較合適，但是最後這首歌卻給了Lewis。當Cowell向Lewis提起這首歌曲的構思時，她表示這首歌“相當有趣”。為了完成這首歌，Cowell還設法聯繫了一個製作團隊。Lewis談起這首歌時，形容它“很感人，歌詞很振奮人心”。這首歌的主題就是“在別人需要幫助時施以援手”。為了宣傳這支單曲，Lewis於2008年3月9日在Dancing on Ice現場表演了這首歌，伴隨着這首歌的優美旋律，Torvill和Dean表演了一支特別的冰上舞蹈。

Evening Standard表示Footprints in the Sand是一首串燒型，福音色彩較濃重的歌曲，比較適合用作迪士尼電影的主題曲。

Iafrica的評論家形容這首歌是一支“引人注目的，美妙的Mariah Carey式”的歌曲，Lewis充分運用她廣闊的音域使她的聲音聽起來與Carey的聲音驚人般地相似。

Digital Spy的評論家説：這首歌有着不可思議的結尾部分，一個甚至連Mariah Carey 也會驚歎的結尾，並且歌詞會使人熱淚盈眶。Channel 4表示：這首歌有點像Lewis的首單A Moment Like This，又有點像Christmas。

Manchester Evening News的評論家説這首歌使Lewis成了一個真正的慈善歌手。

Footprints in the Sand的MV是在倫敦拍攝的，由著名英國導演Sophie Muller執導，整支MV摘取了很多Lewis參加Sport Relief活動去南非約翰內斯堡專訪的片段，這支穿插了Lewis南非之行片段的特別的MV在2008年3月9日在BBC上首次亮相。
