DORO是個混合體，JOAN JETT的狂野，PATTI SMITH的睿智，JANIS JOPLIN的叛逆塑造了DORO的靈魂。“It’s a man’s world? Who says?（這是男人的世界嗎？誰説的？）”—已經成為DORO的口頭禪。

80年代歐洲重金屬界中的女性以WARLOCK的女主唱Doro Pesch為代表,WARLOCK於1982年組團。Doro這位一頭金髮的德國姑娘擁有一副兼有粗獷與柔媚兩種特質的好嗓子，憑藉她過人的演唱天賦，WARLOCK在1984年發行的首張專輯Burning The Witches就讓樂隊站到了當時主流金屬的前沿。

此後的三年WARLOCK以每年一張的速度發行了三張專輯，每一張都受到了樂迷的好評。此後，Doro乾脆把WARLOCK改組成了自己的個人樂隊，並在1989和1990年以個人身份發行了兩張專輯。

雖然在進入90年代後由於Grunge的衝擊以及主流金屬樂的沒落，Doro有七、八年沒有發行新的作品，但隨着上個世紀末重金屬回潮的到來，她又重新出現在金屬迷們面前。或許是由於此前積累了不少作品的緣故，Doro復出之後發行專輯的速度令人驚歎——從1998年到2002年的五年間，她居然發行了9張專輯！

看來，雖然無情的時光奪去了Doro的青春與美貌，但沒有讓她失去對重金屬的熱愛和創作的激情，我們仍然有理由相信Doro會繼續帶給我們出色的重金屬音樂。

DORO的音樂不是那種絢麗的金屬樂，沒有誇張的服飾，沒有尖利的嗓音，沒有長篇的SOLO，有的只是純粹的重金屬、硬搖滾，甚至在現代人眼裏有些土裏土氣，但正是這種簡單卻充滿力量的HARD ROCK讓人動容。雖然時間的痕跡無情的爬上了DORO美麗的面頰，但創作的慾望和對搖滾的信仰卻有增無減。

Originally, Pesch was a member of the group Snakebite, but in 1983 she left to join Warlock. In 1987, after Warlock's fourth album, Triumph And Agony, enough band members had been exchanged that Doro Pesch was the only remaining original member. What would be Warlock's fifth album was released titled Force Majeure in 1989.

Her ten year contract with Polygram expired in 1995, when she signed with WEA (now Warner Music Group).

In 1995, Doro made her acting debut on the German television program Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love).

After the "Love Me In Black" tour in 1998, Doro parted ways from WEA and signed at SPV Steamhammer. She also signed a U.S. deal.

In 2002 she composed the song Fight for her friend Regina Halmich. In the Year 2003 she was represented with Udo Dirkschneider as U.D.O. feat. Doro Pesch and published the rock ballad Dancing with an Angel.

She has recently signed with AFM Records.

She was a guest singer on After Forever's self-titled album, featured on the song "Who I Am."

Most recently she played live at Magic Circle Festival 2008
