Comforting Sounds

Comforting Sounds是丹麥樂隊 MEW，03年專輯《Frengers》中的一首歌。《Comforting Sounds》是專輯《Frengers》中最後一首的恢宏之作，長達九分鐘，Jonas一動不動地用動人的聲音告訴我們他感到多麼的不舒服，因為一些承諾總是無法兑現，即使兩個人在一起，也無可避免地感到孤獨。“遲鈍又疲憊像所有人一樣，真的，我曾試着避免這一切，如果現在回到童年，我們就知道什麼時候該停下來，然而現在為時已晚，一切都不再純潔，除了孤獨”。 曲子伊始先是輕聲的吉他，接着緩緩的旋律慢慢燃燒直到火焰填滿了整個聽覺空間，最後絃樂和高亢的合音相繼併入，如冰川倒塌般滯重但卻帶着清涼感，為我們整張唱片的聆聽之旅畫上了圓滿的句號。

Nothing is pure anymore but solitude.

It's hard to make sense, feels as if I'm sensing you through a lens.

If someone else comes, I'd just sit here listening to the drums.

Previously I never called it solitude.

And probably you know all the dirty shows I've put on.

Blunted and exhausted like anyone.

Honestly I tried to avoid it.

Back when we were kids, we would always know when to stop.

And now all the good kids are messing up.

Nobody has gained or accomplished anything. ^[1]
