Drivenby Bosch Rexroth’s drive and linear motion technology, the interactive magicball in the German Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo was designed for morethan one million cycles and attracted millions of visitors. BoschRexroth provided the China National Opera House with a state-of-the-art stagecontrol system. Fifteen lifting platforms were installed on the main stage ofits Drama Theater, each capable of moving 6.8 meters at a speed of 0.5 meterper second, with their operating noise strictly limited to under 65dB.

Duringthe construction of the Wuhan Yangtze River Tunnel, an 11.38-diameter TunnelBoring Machine equipped with 72 specially-designed Rexroth Cylinders was used.The special sealing system enabled the tunnel boring to operate normally undertough conditions.

In2007, the completion of the Shanghai World Financial Center set a new worldrecord for the vertical pumping height of concrete with a single pump. Themachine was equipped with Rexroth’s piston pump, which kept the pressure high enoughto complete the project reliably.
