Better Half

Well it seems like I can’t do a thing right

Always have to think twice before I say a word

And it feels like walking on a landmine

Where I’m always the bad guy

But that’s what you prefer

And I’ve cried more tears than I ever have

For my so-called better half

Will it all get better ‘cause

I know this can’t ever last

When it’s one step forward and two steps backward

To the same old story and same old pattern

Where you shut me out and play the victim

Tear me down and make me listen

Everytime I’m trying to just move past it

You make it out like I’m the villain

So why am I still trying to fix it

Well it’s been like tip toeing on thin ice

So sick of all the bad nights but so scared to be alone

And I know that everytime I go back

And every time I hope that

You’ve changed, you'll prove me wrong.
