Barbie World創作背景
在製作電影《芭比》的音樂原聲製作時，片中飾演“芭比”的演員瑪格特·羅比堅持希望原聲專輯中收錄丹麥樂團水叮噹於1997年發行的歌曲《Barbie Girl》，但由於出品公司美泰曾因為歌詞問題將水叮噹告上法院。因此原聲專輯的製作人馬克·容森只能在原曲的基礎上加以改編，《Barbie World》就此誕生。因為妮琪·米娜常在音樂作品當中化身為説唱人格“Harajuku Barbie”，甚至她的粉絲們也自稱“Barbz”，與《芭比》有着相當大的連結度。所以製作團隊邀請到了妮琪·米娜與埃絲·史佩斯兩位饒舌女歌手來演唱這首歌曲

，並邀請水叮噹將原曲重新進行錄製
