歌曲由Luther Dixon製作，作為單曲於1961年發行，歌曲很受歡迎，登上美國Billboard榜R&B榜第3和Hot 100第8的位置。隨後歌曲被收入至專輯《Baby It's You》中。

The Beatles在1961年到1963年間就經常在舞台上表演此歌，1963年2月11日樂隊為他們的第一張專輯《Please Please Me》錄製此歌，一起錄製的還有The Shirelles的另一首歌曲《Boys》。
