魏煒研究方向

1,生物體內微量金屬元素和無機多聚物的代謝機制及調控功能:
微量金屬元素和無機多聚物在生命過程中有着一系列其他物質所不能替代的特殊作用。這些物質在體內的代謝水平紊亂,會導致多種疾病,包括癌症、神經退行性疾病、中風、腦出血、創傷性腦損傷等。為了研究其在生物體內的代謝機制及調控功能,我們將運用化學生物學,生物無機化學,微生物學,合成生物學蛋白質組學等多學科交叉的研究方法,相關的主要課題包括:
(1)細胞鐵死亡相關金屬蛋白的作用機制;
(2)多聚磷酸鹽在原核及真核系統中的生物學功能。
2,基於光電驅動的新型半人工光合作用:
半人工光合作用系統是通過將具有光電催化功能的材料與具有生物活性的酶/微生物細胞複合構建的雜化系統,是合成生物學,化學生物學和材料科學等學科國際學者共同關注的熱點。設計開發新型的半人工光合系統並應用到醫藥和生物技術研究中將具有重要的科研價值和巨大的社會效益。相關的主要課題包括:
(1)光電驅動的微生物“非天然”生物合成。
