Bertie Higgins（貝蒂·希金斯），曾曾祖父是‘浮士德’的作者，德國詩人哥德（Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe）。Bertie Higgins原名 Elbert Joseph Higgins，他的血管中流着葡萄牙，愛爾蘭和德國的血液，有着詩人般的才情，成長於美國弗羅裏達的希臘居民區。他擅長演唱熱帶生活和愛情歌曲，70年代末開始音樂創作，《Key Largo》於1981年完成，是Bertie在美國流行排行榜上的一次歷史性突破，不但使美國樂界對它引起了注意，而且也成為了世界性的熱門曲。緊跟着Bertie又寫出《Just Another Day in Paradise》，《Casablanca》，《Pirates and Poets》等他擅長演唱熱帶生活和愛情歌曲，曾經當過海棉採集手。
