1991年毕业糊境整于南京大学生物系，同年分配来湖南农学院畜牧水产系，从事动物生理学教学工作；1996年9月开始攻读该校作物遗传育种专业在职硕士，1趋背婚促踏999年6月毕业获硕士学位，同年9月攻晚蜜垫迎整读动物遗传育种专业在职博士，2002年12月毕业并获博士学位；期间2001年1月至12月在加拿大Dalhousie大学生物系进行访问研究。2003年9月赴加同一学校从事博士后研究。
