錢智,1982年出生於雲南彌勒,任職於中國科學院大學 [1] 
錢智於2010年獲得北京化工大學化學工程與技術專業博士學位;2010年-2012年,於中國科學院研究生院從事師資博士後工作 [2]  ;2013年任中國科學院大學副教授;2015年應Ignacio Grossmann院士邀請,於卡內基梅隆大學進行為期一年的訪問學者工作 [3]
