肯·羅素

在決定做導演之前，肯·羅素從事過多種職業：攝影師、舞蹈演員，甚至還去參軍。但他最終發現電影才是他的興趣所在。他開始製作一些短片，這些作品為他在六十年代製作的完美的電視電影做了良好的鋪墊，他對視覺效果的細緻把握和多樣化的表現手法贏得了人們的讚賞。

他的第三部故事片《戀愛中的女人》(1969)大受好評，並把他推上國際名導的地位。1970年代他的天才得到了充分的發揮，70-90年代他成功導演了一大批風格鮮明的影片，這些影片雖然並沒有得到電影評論家們的眷顧，但人們看到時常常會覺得它們十分引人入勝。作為一名富有爭議且充滿迷人想象力的導演，他那些古怪的作品、使人神魂顛倒的影像將永遠被人銘記。

2011年11月27日，肯·羅素去世，享年84歲。
