《精靈貓捉賊》講述了一位少女Patti養了一隻暹邏貓，名字叫做DC（就是Darn Cat的縮寫），這隻貓每天晚上都會出外覓食，但有一天它回來的時候卻帶着一隻錶鏈，上面有求救的訊息，Patti認為有人被綁架了，於是就去通知FBI，一位名為Kelso探員因此展開調查，他們的方式就是每晚跟蹤那隻貓的路徑，但是他後來才發現，要跟蹤那隻貓根本不是一件簡單的任務。
