第54屆洛迦諾國際電影節

第54屆洛迦諾國際電影節於2001年8月2日在瑞士開幕。 ^[1] 

本屆洛迦諾國際電影節主席由羅馬傑出影評人伊雷妮·比尼亞爾迪擔任，這是該電影節有史以來第一位女主席。現年54歲的比尼亞爾迪曾參與組織過威尼斯國際電影節。此外，本屆電影節9位評委中有7位是女性，其中包括美國女演員德布拉·温格和意大利女演員勞拉·莫蘭特。可見女性在此次電影節中的重要性非比尋常。 ^[1] 

參賽影片分別來自法國、德國、意大利、伊朗、韓國、中國（香港）、印度、瑞士和美國等共13個國家。 ^[1]
