主要從事澱粉質資源開發與利用方面的研究與教學工作。研究方向集中在澱粉質食品的開發與改良、高性能澱粉衍生物產品的開發於製備以及澱粉加工副產物的綜合利用技術等領域。 ^[1] 

近五年來，累計發表SCI收錄論文50餘篇，其中第一/通訊作者發表SCI收錄論文20篇；獲授權發明專利50餘項，其中以第一發明人獲授權發明專利10餘項；作為項目負責人，主持國家自然科學基金青年基金1項，以項目骨幹的身份參與了國家重點研發計劃、國家自然科學基金項目等多個國家、省部級項目的申報和實施工作，並承擔了10餘項為企事業單位服務的橫向項目，累計合同金額超500餘萬元；相關研究成果通過技術評價3項，獲得了國際領先及國際先進的評價，並獲國家科技部進步二等獎、教育部技術發明獎、江蘇省科技進步獎以及全國糧油優秀科技工作者等榮譽。 ^[1]
