盧森堡國旗呈長方形，長寬之比為5:3或2:1。旗面由三個平行相等的橫長方形組成，自上而下分別為紅、白、淺藍三色。紅色象徵着熱烈和勇敢的國民性格，還象徵在爭取國家獨立和民族解放鬥爭中犧牲烈士的鮮血；白色象徵人民的純樸和對和平的追求；藍色代表藍天，意味着人民獲得了光明和幸福。三色聯在一起又象徵平等、民主和自由。
