瑪麗娜·維亞佐夫斯卡

1984年12月2日，瑪麗娜·維亞佐夫斯卡出生於烏克蘭基輔。

1998年，進入了基輔自然科學文化宮第145號（Kiev Natural Science Lyceum no. 145）就讀高中。高中時就參加了烏克蘭國內的奧林匹克數學競賽 ^[3]  。

2001年，高中畢業後進入基輔國立大學（Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev）學習數學。

2002年，參加了第9屆國際大學生數學競賽（International Mathematics Competition for University Students），獲得一等獎 ^[4]  。

2003年，參加了第10屆國際大學生數學競賽，獲得二等獎 ^[5]  。

2004年，參加了第11屆國際大學生數學競賽，獲得三等獎 ^[6]  。

2005年，參加了第12屆國際大學生數學競賽，獲得一等獎 ^[7]  ；同年，獲得基輔國立大學數學學士學位，之後獲得獎學金前往德國凱澤斯勞滕理工大學（ Kaiserslautern University of Technology）攻讀碩士學位。

2007年，從凱澤斯勞滕理工大學畢業，獲得碩士學位。

2010年5月，在烏克蘭國家科學院數學研究所（Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine）進行論文答辯，論文題目為“多項式和有理函數的不等式以及球中的正交公式（Inequalities for polynomials and rational functions and quadrature formulas in the sphere）”，並獲得副博士學位；同年，前往波恩大學（Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn）的馬克斯普朗克數學研究所（Max Planck Institute for Mathematics），師從Don Zagier（唐·扎吉爾）教授攻讀博士學位（Dr. rer. Nat. equivalent to a Ph.D.）。

2013年，從波恩大學畢業，獲得博士學位，畢業論文“模函數和特殊閉鏈（Modular Functions and Special Cycles）”；同年，在法國高等科學研究所（Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques）擔任博士後研究員（postdoctoral researcher）。

2014年，移居柏林，在柏林數學學院（Berlin Mathematical School）和柏林洪堡大學（Humboldt University of Berlin）擔任博士後研究員。

2017年，成為普林斯頓大學（Princeton University）密涅瓦傑出訪問學者（Minerva Distinguished Visitor） ^[22]  ；同年，加入瑞士洛桑聯邦理工學院（Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne, Switzerland），擔任終身助理教授 ^[9]  。

2018年，晉升為洛桑聯邦理工學院全職正教授。

2021年，當選為歐洲科學院（Academy of Europe）院士 ^[18]  。

2022年，獲得菲爾茲獎 ^[10]  ，成為繼瑪麗安·米爾札哈尼後第二位獲得菲爾茲獎的女性數學家 ^[12]  。

瑪麗娜·維亞佐夫斯卡於2016年解決了維度8中的球堆積問題，與他人合作解決了維度24中的球體堆積問題。此前，該問題僅解決了3維或更少的維度，並且3維版本的證明涉及複雜計算。相比之下，她對8維和24維的證明非常簡單（stunningly simple）。除了在球形堆積方面的工作外，她還與Bondarenko和Radchenko對球形設計進行研究。與他們合作證明了Korevaar和Meyers的猜想，這一成果使得她與合著者Andriy Bondarenko在2013年獲得Vasil A. Popov近似理論獎 ^[13]  。

2018年，瑪麗娜·維亞佐夫斯卡特邀在里約熱內盧舉辦的國際數學家大會（International Congress of Mathematicians）上進行演講，她講述了她對鋒利球體填料的研究 ^[20]  。

2022年，瑪麗娜·維亞佐夫斯卡成為世界女數學家會議（World Meeting for Women 
in Mathematics）受邀報告人 ^[21]  ；5月，參加在赫爾辛基舉辦的國際數學家大會 ^[10]  。

瑪麗娜·維亞佐夫斯卡擔任《數論雜誌（Journal of Number Theory）》副主編（Associate Editor） ^[19]  。

瑪麗娜·維亞佐夫斯卡證明了E8格在8維中提供了相同球體的最密集堆積法，並對傅立葉分析中的相關極值問題和插值問題作出了進一步貢獻 ^[15]  。（菲爾茲獎評）
