王爽博士現任鍩崴科技創始人、董事長 [2]  [7]  ,同濟大學附屬醫院客座教授 [1]  、四川華西醫院特聘教授 [1]  ,2018年中組部引進的 [12]  “海外青年高層次人才” [2]  [12]  ,曾任美國加州大學聖地亞哥分校UCSD醫學院生物醫學信息系教授 [3]  ,國際同態加密協會創始會員 [2]  ,電氣和電子工程師協會IEEE高級會員,美國醫療信息協會(AMIA)會員。其主要研究方向包含數據隱私與安全,生物醫療信息,大數據分析,機器學習,高性能計算等 [2] 
先後發表國際學術著作100餘篇,2012年發表全球第1篇聯邦學習論文,解決醫療領域多中心合作難題,擁有多項隱私計算領域專利。 [2]

2012年,開創性地提出安全聯邦學習底層框架並應用在大規模醫療在線學習 [12] 
2014年,聯合創辦全球隱私保護計算大賽(iDASH) [15]  [18] 
2015年,推動實現全球首次將同態加密技術應用到聯邦式多中心罕見病研究中 [12] 
2016年,推動實現全球首次基於可信執行環境技術進行跨國且聯邦式的多中心罕見病研究 [12] 
2017年,牽頭與美國國家標準與技術研究院(National Institute of Standards and Technology)和國際標準化組織ISO及IBM、微軟等國際大廠聯合成立了國際同態加密標準委員會,並且制定了同態加密應用標準 [12] 
2018年,創新性提出支持不同隱私保護技術的融合性解決方案 [12]
