生物信息學的概念和發展歷史、生物信息學的基礎;分子生物學數據庫,包括生物學數據庫,核苷酸序列與基因組數據庫,蛋白質序列與模式等,及數據庫中存在的問題及使用注意事項;序列比對與數據庫檢索,包括序列比對,比對的統計學顯著性,數據庫搜索;核酸序列的信號和功能識別,包括DNA序列的統計學與信息學分析,核酸和蛋白質序列的進化分析;基因組測序與分析,包括DNA 測序與序列片段的拼接,編碼蛋白質基因區域的預測,基因組的比較;功能基因組信息學,包括功能基因組信息學及基因表達數據分析等。 [1]
