古斯塔夫·勒龐（Gustive Le Bon，1841～1931），法國著名社會心理學家和社會學家，以研究羣體心理特徵而著稱。1866年，他在巴黎獲得醫學博士學位。1884年開始研究羣眾心理學。他的研究涉及三個領域：人類學、自然科學和社會心理學。晚年，他的興趣轉向社會心理學。他認為，民族精神或種族靈魂是整個社會生活的基礎。勒虎著名的著作《烏合之眾：大眾心理研究》（The Crowd：A Study of the Popular Mind）出版於1895年，已被翻譯為近20種語言。19世紀20年代，他的預知令人震驚，他在作品中預見了20世紀所有的心理學和政治發展。此外，他還寫有《各民族進化的心理學規律》《法國大革命和革命心理學》《戰爭心理學》等一系列具有廣泛世界影響的社會心理學力作。 ^[2]
