主要研究方向為計算機體系結構，在深度學習處理器方向做出了一系列開創性的工作，受到大量歐美頂級高校和研究機構的跟隨。

他發表多篇CCF A 類會議或期刊論文，曾獲得CCF A 類會議 ASPLOS’14 最佳論文獎（亞洲首次）。他多次擔任CCF A類會議和期刊的PC、ERC和審稿人，包括ASPLOS 2019、MICRO2019的PC。 ^[1]

2020年9月9日，獲得2020年阿里巴巴達摩院青橙獎，獲獎理由：他的架構深度學習處理器，能高效處理廣泛深度學習算法。 ^[2]
