2007年畢業於西安交通大學，獲得生物工程學士學位。

2007-2012年在密歇根州立大學攻讀植物學博士學位。

先後在斯坦福卡內基研究所（2012-2016）和普林斯頓大學（2016-2018）進行博士後研究。

2018年加入西湖大學任特聘研究員。
