新惡魔島

在南極大陸上，矗立著一座由各國政府合建，無人能脱逃、戒備最森嚴的監獄，專門監禁來自全球最危險的犯人，而少數知道這座監獄存在的人則稱之為「新惡魔島」；當獄中的犯人意外從南極冰原挖出一隻被冰凍的巨型史前巨蛇時，曾當過考古學家的政治犯尤里告知典獄長（克瑞格華森）這是項空前的考古學突破，典獄長因而打破安全規定向外界告知這項發現。 尤里的舊識，考古學博士羅勃（狄恩肯）因而搭機前往南極冰原察看這隻前所未見的稀有巨蛇 ，然而在博士抵達前，這隻巨蛇竟從五千萬年的冬眠中甦醒，並在監獄中大開殺戒；在這座號稱固若金湯的監獄中，無法脱逃的犯人和獄卒成了這隻史前生物的大餐，他們能完成不可能的任務 ，找到逃出這座監獄的方法嗎？ ^[1]
