擬聲法

擬聲法(onomatopoeia) 它是指用詞語模擬客觀事物的聲音,以增強講話或文字的實際音感。Onomatopoeia(擬聲法)--Using "sound" words. "Bang!" "Crunch" 。例如:

模擬人聲

murmur (咕噥), whisper (耳語聲), giggle (咯咯笑啊暗示聲), hum (哼), ouch (哎呀), hush (噓), chuckle (抿着嘴輕聲地笑), mutter (輕聲低語), en (嗯), hi (喂), chatter (嘮叨), whoop (喘氣聲), babble (胡言亂語)

模擬家禽與飛鳥聲

cock---crow, hen—cackle, chicken---cheep, duck---quack, goose---cackle, dove---coo, magpie---chatter, parrot---squawk, nightingale---jug.

模擬獸類聲

ass---bray, pig---grunt, sheep---baa, horse---neigh, lion---roar, cow---moo, dog---bark, fox---yelp, monkey---jabber, mouse---peep, tiger---growl, cat---mew, elephant---trumpet, wolf---bowl

模擬昆蟲及其他動物聲音

click 喀嚓 (剪刀, 門, 按鈕), rumble 轟隆聲 (雷, 風暴, 炮, 車),
