為信息檢索、自然語言處理。

主持和參與國家級項目超過20項。共發表學術論文超過40篇，其中SCI檢索5篇，EI檢索超過30篇。擔任國家自然科學基金項目評閲人， IEEE計算機學會會員，IEICE會員，中國計算機學會會員，國際WordNet協會（GWA）會員。2009-2010年以公派訪問學者身份留學赴美國Purdue大學計算機系進修12月，研究方向為信息檢索。 ^[1]
