《戴單眼鏡的反叛者》(The Monocled Mutineer )是BBC於1986年拍攝製作的一部4集電視劇，改編自William Alison和John Fairley1978年合著的同名小説，劇集描繪了英國曆史上著名罪犯珀西·託普利斯(Percy Toplis)的一生，其中很大的篇幅用來表現Percy Toplis參與並領導了1917年9月在法國北部英軍軍營發生的“斯泰普斯兵變”(Étaples Mutiny)，在小説和電視劇中，Percy Toplis被描繪成了一個聰明而極具領導才能的人，甚至稱得上是個英雄式的人物。而“斯泰普斯兵變”本身就是英國曆史上比較敏感的話題。這也吸引了更多人關注，劇集於1986年8月31日在BBC一台首播，創下了一千萬人的收視率，但是緊接着質疑和責難聲就接踵而至…… [2]
