我曾有夢

歌曲《我曾有夢》（I Dreamed A Dream）選自世界經典音樂劇《悲慘世界》（Les Miserables） 。“I Dreamed A Dream“是《悲慘世界》中，芳汀被工頭趕出工廠後的唱段。

音樂劇《悲慘世界》是根據維克多·雨果的作品悲慘世界改編的歌劇裏的歌曲。法國音樂家克勞德-米歇爾·勳伯格改編。在英國公演於1985年。之後，在世界各大洲都有不斷的演出，在近幾年，它的影響也波及到亞洲，《悲慘世界》有日文版（其他語種還有法語、西伯來語、匈牙利語、西班牙語、德語等），而在新加坡、中國香港地區、印度以及中國內地都已經或是將要有它的演出。也因為如此，它被稱為世界上最有名的音樂劇，－－當然也許更多人聽説過的《悲慘世界》是雨果的小説。不過也因為原書的名氣太大，音樂劇在一開始很受評論家的排擠。有些人認為它不該把嚴肅的東西音樂化褻瀆了名著，另一些人則認為音樂加上嚴肅主題是糟蹋了音樂劇。誰想觀眾的反應卻十分積極，票房的收入相當好，就這樣劇團度過了最艱難的初始階段。之後不久《悲慘世界》就轉到倫敦西頭（英國舞台劇中心）後來又越洋過海到美國的百老匯，自此一發而不可收。舞台劇在全世界七十多個城市公演，十五年後，仍在匈牙利、德國和日本連續公演。1995年10月8日，為慶祝悲慘民辦音樂劇上演十週年，於皇家埃爾伯特大廳（Royal Albert Hall）進行了十週紀念演出，併發行DVD，《悲慘世界》最優秀的演員聚集一堂，最後由十七位來自不同國家Valjean出場，用各自的語言演唱Do You Hear the People Sing。這也説明該劇在各個國家的知名程度。
