·導演Cameron Crowe作為滾石雜誌年輕樂評人的Cameron Crowe在他15歲時曾經為該雜誌撰寫過一篇關於新晉樂隊"YES" 的文章。

·導演的妻子，是80年代紅極一時的Heart (紅心合唱團)的團員Nancy Wilson。

·為了增加影片的真實性，傳奇樂評人萊斯特·邦斯也被請進了電影。

·從未在原聲帶中獻聲的Led Zeppelin (齊柏林飛船)也衝着導演Cameron Crowe的面子首度獻上'69年經典曲《That's The Way》。

·本片於1999年5月開鏡，分別在美國西海岸城市洛杉磯與聖地亞哥取景，同年10月封鏡。

·《成功之路》奪得當年金球獎喜劇類最佳影片，凱特·哈德森也因此片獲得當年金球獎的最佳女配角。
