12歲的時候便開始學習聲樂，17歲來到東京。
在Kalafina的第一首歌曲oblivious中擔任主音，她的聲線與歌曲的電子樂完美地融合在一起。
在第三張單曲fairytale中，Wakana再度顯示了她不俗的高音演唱功底。無論是悠遠靜謐的fairytale，還是深情款款的serenato，都讓聽者沉醉不已。
2008年還為SMAP、藤澤ノリマサ、户松遙等歌手的作品做過和聲。

大滝若菜人物評價

梶浦由記的獨奏企劃FictionJunction成員之一，她的歌聲充滿了延展性的清涼感，在抒情曲目裏有着令人印象深刻的表現。在Live『Revo&梶浦由記Presents Dream Port 2008』中初次登台。擁有一副清亮的高音，即使是在和聲的時候也可以從背景裏很清楚地聽到，曾被梶浦由記稱讚聲線是“神女一般的歌聲”。
