大堡礁島

大堡礁島是稀有鳥類和蜥蜴的天堂。住宿有基本的徒步旅行小屋，也有豪華的旅館。島上有未受人類破壞的海灘、原生灌木林,以及多種奇特的植物與鳥類。這種全無人為破壞的原始海灘在地球上已經是鳳毛麟角了。原始灌木林邊上的小路可通往隱密的天然温泉池和古老的貝殼杉水壩。 海拔627米的希拉基瑪塔(Hirakimata),即霍布森山(Mount Hobson)以其令人難以忘懷的景觀招喚着遊客前來。佔地285平方公里的島嶼,大部份是保護區,由環保部負責管理。 這座島嶼是徒步的好地方,同時也是潛水、釣魚、衝浪、灌木林漫步與宿營的理想場所。每天都有固定航班的空中賞觀活動。

The Great Barrier Reef is not just one reef but actually a series of over 2,000 reefs stretching for more than 2,300 kilometres. It is the world’s largest coral reef.

since coral reefs are also in shallow water, you can actually see them from above the water! All along the Great Barrier Reef, the color of the coral reef changes as does the color of the water, which varies from a green to a blue color.

The Great Barrier Reef stretches more than 2,000 kilometres along the Queensland coast, the east coast of Australia, from the mainland towns of Port Douglas to Bundaberg. The Great Barrier Reef system consists of more than 3000 reefs which range in size from 1 hectare to over 10,000 hectares in area.

You can swim, snorkel, dive and sail the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef, a living masterpiece so big that it can be seen from outer space. ^[1]
